Family tour of the Valmarecchia
Itinerary: Santarcangelo, San Michele, Sant’Andrea, Santo Marino, Ponte Verucchio, Santarcangelo
What can be better than cycling with the whole family? Setting off from the centre of Santarcangelo di Romagna, this route stretches along both banks of the Marecchia River and is therefore suitable for people of all ages to cycle together through natural surroundings in total safety, without any particular challenges. You will cycle along the northern River bank up to Ponte Verucchio and cross over to the southern bank, and then cycle back to Santarcangelo along the Valmarecchia cycle path, which is a veritable nature trail that is much loved by local bikers. This route is also ideal for pedal assisted bicycles.
Curiosities
Half-way along the route lies the Marecchia Park, the largest urban park in the Area of Rimini and its Province: it is a veritable “nature oasis” for people of all ages with equipped playgrounds, sports and restaurant facilities and a picnic area. You can stop and have lunch or a snack here in natural surroundings, and recharge your energy with all your family before setting off again on your bike.
