From Ferrara to the sea
Itinerary: Ro, Bondeno, Sant’Agostino, Ro
If you are in Ferrara and feel the urge to ride down to the sea on your bike, this route is the right one for you. Flat and never too tough, the entire route (thanks to Ferrara’s Bike Night) runs along the Destra Po cycle path (part of the Eurovelo 8 cycle path and the VENTO project) and reaches Lido di Volano, the first Ferrara seaside resort you encounter coming from the plain. Besides crossing the boundless Ferrara countryside without ever losing sight of the Great River, the route passes alongside some of the most iconic works of architecture of the district, such as the “delizia” of Mesola and Torre Abate.
